The topic for this meeting is drivetrains. If you would like to get a head start on this top take a look at the information located here. http://www.simbotics.org/files/first-robotics-canada/workshop-presentations/mobility.pdf
Nice job everyone yesterday with the straw exorcise. It was really great to see you all starting to form into a team and jumping right in to solve engineering challenges. As I said we are going to take a little break to get some paperwork done. Hopefully it will be a very short break. I will be posting the photos, as soon at I get the gallery up and running on the site so keep your eyes pealed.
In the mean time it might be a good idea for you all to take a look at some of the past games, robots, and start getting a feel for the FIRST organization. I urge you all to take a look at the following websites.
www.usfirst.org - the website of the organization. We are going to be involved in “FRC” so you can read about that. The documentation from old games is on this site if you browse around.
http://www.thebluealliance.net - has loads of videos from past events
www.chiefdelphi.com - forums with almost 30,000 members talking about this competition. Check them out, there is lots of information on that site. Also the photo gallery is a good place to start.
I hope to see all of you soon, for our next meeting. We will start building robots like the ones found on www.vexrobotics.com
